This session is open to library workers and trustees within as well as beyond the Ramapo Catskill Library System.

The purpose of this workshop is to strengthen collection development policies. Through collaboration and discussion, attendees will leave this session with stronger collection development policies as well as further understanding as to language that is appropriate for such policies. Attendees will be placed in groups of five prior to this session and be tasked with reviewing their group member's CD policies. During this session, the designated groups will meet in breakout rooms to discuss and provide recommendations regarding one another's policies, then share out specific language change suggestions and key areas libraries should focus on when developing this policy. 

Attendees will be prompted to share their collection development policies with Jen Park, RCLS, jen@rcls.org, by May 11th. Jen will send out the policies to the small groups by May 12th. Registration for this program will close May 11th.
