How to Run Your Referendum 101 Online

Presented by Cole Haymond, pick up the skills and tools you need to run a successful ballot referendum! From fundraising to gaining ballot access, building your campaign organization, finding your win number, to utilizing paid communications, we will cover all the topics required to achieve victory at the ballot box.

In early 2020, Cole Haymond founded New Way Strategies to provide a personal touch to messaging, branding, and strategy for Democratic political campaigns, ballot initiatives, non-profit organizations, and businesses throughout the United States. Over the last 18 years, Cole Haymond has worked or consulted for political campaigns from town council to President to ballot measures in 28 states plus DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Recently, New Way Strategies was honored with two Goldies Peer Choice Awards “Golden Donkeys” and one “Silver Donkey” and finalist honors from the Stephen F. Reed Awards for direct mail work in 2020, 2021, and 2023. In 2023, New Way Strategies won an AAPC Pollie Award for "Best GOTV Mail Piece" in the ballot initiative division for our work in helping ratify the Equal Rights Amendment into Nevada's constitution.
