Libraries Investing in Community Solar Online

What is community solar and is it right for your library? Join Carmen Pei from Sustainable Westchester to learn how community solar works, how to identify if your library is eligible, and what kind of savings are possible.

About the Carmen Pei:

Carmen Pei, Senior Program Manager, is a sustainability professional, environmentalist, and engineer who began working at Sustainable Westchester in 2020. Carmen is a strong believer that communities, governments, and businesses can include sustainability as an integral part of their core strategy. She is involved in aiding climate action and helping accelerate the path towards a clean energy economy and a sustainable future. Carmen works on advancing strategy and operations of the Solar department and Sustainable Westchester, leading a portfolio of programs and projects, generating new business opportunities, managing department-wide processes and managing and building a team to support growth of the department. Her past engineering work focused on water quality and environmental remediation. She has global research and education experience, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and great interpersonal skills. Carmen holds an M.E. degree in Environmental Engineering from Manhattan College and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
